Traditional chatrooms are textual based, they only allow people to communicate in written form. With the continually increasing bandwidth and connection speeds, customers are welcoming new ways of communicating, such as audio and at the highest level, video coupled with audio.
The Quarkis Audio Video Chat™ is a client-server combination that allows you to host a full fledged audio video textual chatroom on your website. The chatroom resides anywhere in an HTML page where you want to host it.
The chatroom allows any number of people to log in and communicate with one another by text and it alows up to four simultenously audio/video users. All participants can see the video and hear the audio of all 4 users, but only 4 of the participants can stream their audio and video.
The player is built on Macromedia's streaming media format using Flash Communication Server MX. When a participant wants to output their a video and audio of themselves, they need to have a webcam and microphone equiped on their local computer. They simply click a button to start broadcasting their AV and our software will check their local computer configuration, what kind of microphone and webcam they are using, and then start streaming accordingly. The streaming media signal is live and in real time with an approximate 1 second delay.
To order the Quarkis Audio Video Chat and immediately deploy it on your website, there is
a one time set up fee of $550 USD. Inclusive of this set up fee is a sample page containing
the script code. This will show your webmaster how it works, and how to utilize it in all
other areas of your website. Additional customization work you may need will be billed at
a rate of $50 USD per hour. Estimates can be provided before your decision to purchase.
