A key aspect of globalizing your online business is the ability to handle mulitple currencies in real time, and quickly and easily convert between them. Often, websites will leave it up to the customer to manually do the conversions, for example, they will list all prices in USD. But for a customer from Japan, Germany or the UK, they are then forced to manual convert the price into their own currency. We at Quarkis believe this is unacceptable.
The Quarkis Currency Converter™ is a database driven product that offers real time currency conversions on your website, seamless to the customer. You only need to list the prices in one currency, then the Quarkis Currency Converter™ will understand each visitor to your website, what their currency preference is, and then automatically display for them, the price of items translated into the currency of their choice.
Essentially, a table of 80 different currencies is maintained and fed in real time through the internet to your website. On your website, you will pick a base currency, for example, USD. All of your prices on your site will be listed in the base USD currency. Then, when a visitor to your site shows a preference in a currency other than USD, they can select from the list of 80 currencies which one they want. All prices of all your products will then be displayed in this currency, at the USD eqivalent price.
There are a variety of ways to deploy this product, and we will help you integrate it into your website per your needs. The most basic method is to provide a drop down list for your customers to select the currency of their choice. When doing so, all prices on your website will reflect the prices of all your items in this currency.
However, you may also choose to implement the currency based on the customers region. Coupled with the Quarkis Country Detector™, we can make your website automatically determine which country the visitor is coming from. If for example, the customer is in Japan, then your website automatically displays all prices in YEN. If the visitor is from Germany, your website will display all prices in DEUSTCH MARKS, and so on.
Alternatively, if your website is translated into various languages using the Quarkis Localization Services, then we can set up your website so that the customers currency matches their language preference. So for example, assume a Japanese individual is visiting Germany on a business trip and they visit your website. We can set your website up to detect that although the visitor is entering your website from Germany, they are in fact native Japanese speaking, so rather than setting their currency to Deutch Marks, we program your website to automatically set it to Japanese Yen.

the script code. This will show your webmaster how it works, and how to utilize it in all
